Michell Tonearms & Accessories

TecnoArm,
TecnoWeight,
VTA Adjuster

The TecnoArm and our accessories for Rega models continue a tradition of Michell-engineered value for money tonearms that goes back to the Fluid and Focus unipivot models of the seventies.

TecnoArm

The TecnoArm(a) is a fundamental mechanical rebuild of the well-known RB250 tonearm, to which is added monolithic wiring of the highest quality. The arm tube is bead-blasted and perforated, which disperses structural resonances and yields a lower effective mass. The arm wand is internally damped to reduce resonance further, and the headshell is machined flat, to allow true azimuth relative to the bearing craddle. After modification the bearings are re-adjusted for highest possible performance, according to original Rega procedures.

[TecnoWeight]

Set of two counterweights, metal endstub, and precise 0.1g Vertical Tracking Force adjuster for Rega RB-250 and RB-300 tonearms and their derivatives. One counterweight matches cartridges of 3 to 6g mass, the other is for cartridges of 7 to 13g. The center of mass is at the stylus level, thereby increasing tracking and reducing record wear.

VTA adjustment sleeve for Rega arms

[VTA adjuster]

A Vertical Tracking Angle adjustment sleeve for the Rega RB-250, RB-300 and RB-600 arms, to be used with the new-style Rega arm board we have been making since the beginning of 1999. If used with other turntable brands, slight enlargement of the original Rega mounting hole will be necessary to accommodate the increased diameter of the VTA sleeve.
